Lion Fish WallIt was some time ago when my friend Will and I dove Yap Island’s Southern Walls (specifically Lion Fish Wall) to take some photos and enjoy a nice drift dive.

We arrived at the dive site early in the morning the visibility was good as always due to the incoming tide. The sun had reached the edge of the upper wall and was about to start giving Lion Fish Wall some nice rays of sunlight. We descended at the wall’s northern end and drifted south along the gorgeous wall filled with soft and hard corals.

Sadly though, the school of snappers that usually hangs around that area was not kind enough to pose for a photo with Will.

Finally, as we reached the end of the wall at the plateau of Yap Caverns, we did another little photo shoot – one of our photos won third place in a large International Photo Contest.

To give you an idea of what our dive was like we have added some photos from it here to illustrate how nice it was!
